The Wood Spindles peeling machine uses two synchronized rotating friction rollers and a fixed pressure bar roller to form a triangular structure that firmly holds the log. The friction rollers rotate the log while pushing it toward the peeling knife, completing the peeling process. Unlike traditional peeling machines, this machine does not use a spindle. Instead, it relies on the friction between the rollers and the log surface to drive the log. This way, the log is not subjected to the axial force of a spindle, preventing bending deformation. As a result, this machine is particularly suitable for peeling cores, small-diameter logs, or decayed logs.

Operating Points

1. Adjust Pressure: As the log diameter and hardness change, the pressure of the friction rollers must be adjusted in real time to ensure a stable peeling process and uniform veneer quality.
2. Core Pre-Treatment:
   1. Trim the Ends: Before peeling, cut off the parts of the core ends that were clamped by the jaws to prevent small cracks at the edges of the veneer, which could expand during drying and affect usability.
   2. Steaming Treatment: If the core is not peeled immediately, it needs to be steamed to prevent rapid evaporation of moisture from the core surface and ends, which could lead to uneven moisture content and affect peeling quality.
