What Are the Advantages of Mesh-Belt Wood Veneer Dryer

10 March,2025

1.Higher Labor Productivity: With the mesh-belt dryer, wood veneer cutting, drying, and shearing are done continuously. This used to require multiple workers for each step. Now, only one person is needed to feed the veneer, while 3-4 people can operate the cutting and board assembling machines (in a two-layer setup).

2.Increased Dryer Output: The high-temperature, high-speed airflow is directed vertically onto both sides of the veneer, helping to break through the surface layer of the veneer. This speeds up the drying process, reducing drying time by 70%-80% or more.

3.Better Veneer Quality: Continuous drying allows for the production of entire sheets, especially full veneer sheets. Since drying happens before cutting, the veneer’s original match is preserved, and the color and grain stay consistent. The even temperature and humidity in the dryer ensure the veneer dries uniformly, minimizing defects like cracking and warping from uneven moisture. The simplified process also reduces manual handling, cutting down damage and breakage.

4.Improved Wood Utilization: By drying the veneer before cutting, it's easier to control the processing allowances, eliminating the need for cutting wet veneer. This reduces loss and breakage. Plus, the high-speed drying reduces shrinkage, and studies show overall wood utilization can increase by 3%-5%.

This system makes production more efficient, enhances veneer quality, and helps save material.
